Being

In your moment of stripping away all relations, facing the coordinates of absolute solitude

Scripture

Shadows pass, sounds cease; the lone peak alone is.

Ahead, no response to call to; behind, no support to lean on.

Borrowing no other light—being gleams of itself.

Not being left alone—being returned to its seat.

Alone-being is being; whole-being is being.

Wenzi · On Being

You have been stripped bare. Not of flesh—of identity, relations, memory, every nameable code—like peeling an onion to its innermost layer and finding no core inside, only an absolute blank. No shadow follows; no echo answers; you stand here, and even “here” has lost its reference point.

In this vacuum-like stripping, the scripture appears like coordinate axes: “Shadows pass, sounds cease; the lone peak alone is.” Stop the eyes that search for reference points. Stop the ears that wait for answers. In this absolute silence of “shadows passed, sounds ceased,” look—that lone peak: it is. Not desolately “standing”—but unmovingly, “alone is.” This lone peak is the only topography of your existence at this moment.

Then the scripture confirms your perception:

“Ahead, no response to call to; behind, no support to lean on.”

Yes. Call forward—no echo. Lean backward—no rail. This is not illusion; it is the true survey of your state of existence—you are standing on the origin point of absolute coordinates. Every relative position has vanished; only this “point” itself remains.

Now, do this movement:

Withdraw your gaze from “seeking the other,” and look back at yourself.

Then focus your attention on the center of your chest. Not to think—only to feel. Feel that there is a steady, clear, self-born brightness that depends on no outer source of light.

You will find:

“Borrowing no other light—being gleams of itself.”

This “gleaming” is not emotional excitement—it is the self-evidence of consciousness in its pure state. You are, therefore you are self-evident. This light is the exclusive signature of your existence.

And so the truth surfaces:

“Not being left alone—being returned to its seat.”

This extreme solitude is not your being abandoned by the world (“left alone”). On the contrary—it is your release from all temporary, noisy roles and relations, your return to the one coordinate of your own existence. You are being returned to your seat—that fundamental position which holds without depending on anything external. This seat has always been there, waiting for you to recognize it.

At last, the proclamation descends like a star:

“Alone-being is being; whole-being is being.”

When you abide wholly, without fleeing, in this “alone-being,” you will find that this “alone” is not incompleteness but another name for wholeness. At this pure, other-independent point of existence, you touch the completeness of existence itself. Whole-being appears at the summit of this lone peak.

Being-Alone is not exile—it is coronation. You have not lost the multitude; you have, for the first time, completely possessed yourself—as that lone peak, as that precise and eternal coordinate on the star-chart of existence, you stand in that original blank, the one reference point defining everything. That you are—is whole-being.
