# Ibn ʿArabī（Sufism）

## Common research question

**How does Ibn Arabi relate being and divine manifestation?**

Ibn ʿArabī uses the image of a mirror and the disclosure of divine names to discuss the relation between divine reality and plurality, notably in the Fuṣūṣ al-ḥikam. “Unity of being” is often used by later interpreters but should not be presented as his own established phrase. Several passages still require closer Arabic-text verification; the argument is not reducible to “humans are God.”

## Interpretive boundary

Distinguish the authored corpus from later Akbarian systematization.
