Questions · Ultimacy & Structural Comparison
If a philosophy claims to have reached the “ultimate,” how can we judge whether it has truly left no final fixed point?
Direct answer
A claim to ultimacy does not replace a structural test: can necessary recognition, a final witness or an untouchable name be removed without collapse? Chapters 8 and 21 of Being address recognition and the status of the name. No philosophy wins by assertion alone.
Further explanation
This is an external research method, not a grading scheme claimed by Being or Becoming for all traditions. Compare each text’s complete trajectory and irreducible functions from reliable sources. Being is itself a test case, not an automatic winner by self-description.
Page purpose
This is a structural-comparison entry point, not a ranking of philosophies; the page should connect Self-release, observer, being, becoming, the cognitive-mediation deletion test, the Final Remainder Test, and the related 1:1 comparison pages.
