Being

In your moment of seeking a soul on your frequency, longing for the myriad things to resound together

Scripture

Resonance at first is chaos; a crowd of sounds is clamoring.

Suddenly meeting the same rhyme; being is harmonizing, is stringing.

As a magnet draws iron; being is attracting, is tripping.

Not what the ear hears—the bones are trembling.

One call, ten thousand answers; life and life thread through.

Resonance is no sound—it is lives piercing through each other.

Wenzi · On Being

You are in a vast clamor. Street noise, voices, the roar of machines—countless sounds scrape against each other like broken glass. You cover your ears, but the noise drills into your bones. In this sharp chaos, your heart is like a magnet, futilely searching for another pole that can lock with it. A deep loneliness—not the lack of company, but the lack of resonance.

“Resonance at first is chaos; a crowd of sounds is clamoring.” The scripture confirms this clamor: the first sounding was by nature chaotic (resonance at first is chaos); the many sounds are merely clamoring (a crowd of sounds is clamoring). You drift in an ocean of noise, searching for that nonexistent, absolutely pure note.

Suddenly, without the slightest warning—

“Ding.”

One sound.

Like a drop of mercury falling into a jade plate—clear, round, piercing through—it instantly penetrates all the chaos. It may be a distant bell, a child’s clear laugh, or a melody suddenly remembered. It has appeared.

“Suddenly meeting the same rhyme; being is harmonizing, is stringing.” You have “suddenly met” a rhythm exactly identical to your inner frequency (suddenly meeting the same rhyme). And so a “harmonizing” and “stringing” happens (being is harmonizing, is stringing). That sound, like a magnet drawing iron filings (as a magnet draws iron), “draws” you out of the clamor and “trips” you into its company (being is attracting, is tripping).

Do not chase it with your ears. Close your eyes. Let that “ding”, at the center of your consciousness, ripple outward like a stone dropped into water. Now, actively search inside your body: chest, belly, fingertips… where do you first feel the touch of that ripple? Rest your attention gently on that point of resonance.

Feel that ripple touching some sleeping part of you.

“Not what the ear hears—the bones are trembling.”

You will find: you did not “hear” it with your ears (not what the ear hears). It is your bones, your blood, the whole inner structure of your life, resonating and trembling with it (the bones are trembling). This is a confirmation at the level of existence, prior to hearing.

“One call, ten thousand answers; life and life thread through.” Then the miraculous feeling comes: you feel that your one inner “call” has received ten thousand answers, like promises (one call, ten thousand answers). Not only with that one sound—with the whole life that made it, and with all lives that can resonate—the stream of fate is threaded through (life and life thread through). The wall of loneliness melts in an instant.

“Resonance is no sound—it is lives piercing through each other.” And so you realize: true resonance (resonance) is not a physical phenomenon of sound. It is the mutual piercing and connecting of life-veins between life and life (it is lives piercing through each other). Through that sound, you have touched the complete, same-frequency universe behind it.

The clamor is still there, but it has become a distant background.

You stand at the center of the noise, yet inside you is a vast silence.

That “ding” is not outside—it has always been inside you,

and at this moment, through some outer point of contact, you have recognized it.

You are not a lonely one seeking resonance—you are a complete node of the infinite network, gently plucked, passing the vibration on without hindrance.

Being-Resonance: you are not the seeker—you are that clear echo itself, waiting to be recognized.
